On the journey home from the cabin, we spotted this water fowl in the middle of the highway. Even though we were running late to catch Jackie’s flight we turned the rig around, horses and all.

Then the bird decided to go hide in the ditch culvert. As you can see, we got him out, got his strength up and after some rest a a few good meals of minnows he was released back into the wild in a big body of water.
